ABOUT

I’m a proud mother, small business owner and longtime resident of San Francisco.

I’m running for Democratic Central Committee because I love our city and its diverse residents. If elected, I promise to help return San Francisco to its true progressive roots by ensuring local policies are focused on the benefit of working-class people. Everyone should have their basic needs met.

San Francisco should be a working-class  paradise. Instead, it’s one of the most expensive places to live. There seems to be no end in sight for the housing affordability and homelessness crisis, and many of us unfortunately know a friend or family member who doesn’t have access to the human right of a consistent and hospitable place to sleep.

Our beloved local businesses are in need of revival and more must be done to address the widening inequality gap. It’s clear more investments are needed in underserved communities and our party must do more to advance the issues and ideas of people of color.

For changes to be made, we need to elect Democrats with more than just political experience – our candidates need life experience and a personal understanding of {middle-class struggles.}  We need to change.

As your Central Committee member, I will use my experience as an activist to hold our candidates accountable and help foster the inclusivity needed to truly create a San Francisco for all residents. Central Committees should not be controlled by powerful special interests or career politicians; they belong firmly in the hands of the people.

I’ve devoted my life to public service and I know what it takes to usher in change.  I grew up in District 5 and raised my kids in District 10 and a graduate of Lowell High. I know we can revitalize our communities and create a government for the people. I would be honored to have your vote and serve as your next committee member. We can do this – together.

As a native San Franciscan, I have spent my entire life fighting for working families and progressive policies that help create social, racial, and economic justice for all. My decision to run for DCCC is inspired by the people in my community who have become civically disengaged because they struggle to find themselves reflected in local party politics.

The system does not reflect us but I believe that all of us have individual power and we all belong. I want you to know that I will do everything I can to make your voices heard. Our journey is not determined by where we begin but by how far we can go together!

Our campaign will grow the local party by getting back to our roots and mission of educating and registering voters. This is no easy task but I am ready for the challenge and hope you would join me in expanding our electorate.
